Bounce it Forward
Nashville is no stranger to disasters and challenges, but 2020 was a particularly tough year. From tornadoes and flooding to a global pandemic and terror attack, our beloved city has been through it. What have we learned over the past year? How will we bounce forward and build back stronger? In a new podcast series, AIA Middle Tennessee is exploring how Nashville can be more resilient through business and practice, the built environment, and community and culture. In this premiere episode, our panel will share what they’ve learned over the past two years, how they’ve adapted in their work and communities, and how we can all work together to build a more resilient city.
Nashville Design Week
‘What Stories Will We Tell’, will bring together the storytellers with the subjects themselves in a panel discussion revolving around the recently opened National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) as well as the Tennessee State Museum. Attendees will have the option to tour NMAAM’s galleries, followed by our engaging panel discussion and light refreshments. The panel will include a museum archivist, collections manager and executive director. We will take the audience through the journey of an artist’s life, to how their story is later interpretated into a museum collection exhibit.
