NOMAnash is a professional architectural organization designed to Embrace, Empower, Elevate, and Educate all minority designers and their local community.

PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

As the 2025–2027 President of NOMAnash, I would like to personally thank you for your interest in our organization and invite you to be a part of our evolving legacy. As a national organization, NOMA represents many things to its diverse membership. While we strive daily to leverage the potential born of that diversity, our power emanates from unity around the purpose set forth at NOMA’s inception: to support our local communities and minority architects through outreach, advocacy, professional development, and design excellence.

NOMAnash is a growing part of this legacy. From our earliest initiatives such as the Coloring Book of Architecture and MC Winbush Scholarship to our more recent endeavors with Project Pipeline, our impact is only outpaced by our ambition. NOMAnash’s work has led to national recognition, with our chapter winning the coveted Emerging Chapter of the Year Award in 2019 and being selected to host the NOMA National Conference in 2022.

The opportunity to host the 2022 National Conference was reflective not only of the value and quality of our chapter, but also that of our city. The positive impression that Nashville left on conference attendees was palpable, and our membership was overjoyed to share our home with the broader NOMA family. We have something special here, and our membership is keenly aware of that.

NOMAnash is filled with people that care about Nashville and the future of the architectural profession therein. Each of our initiatives is designed to enhance our profession and connect to our community, and we are excited about the future of the chapter and the city. We hope you will join us in building that future.

“NOMAnash is filled with people that care about Nashville and the future of the architectural profession therein. We hope you will join us in building that future.”
